Juventus Reportedly Agree €75 Million Deal for Dusan Vlahovic

A long-awaited decision has been made regarding Dusan Vlahovic’s future as Fabrizio Romano confirms that Juventus reportedly have agreed to a deal worth €75 million with Fiorentina. The 21-year-old forward was the most talked-about move in this transfer window. While there were other clubs who had shown equal interest, the player decided to join the Serie A giants.

Dusan Vlahovic joined the Italian side Fiorentina in 2018 and has been a hot prospect since. His initial outings were limited, but his impact in the first two seasons showcased what he could deliver. He unleashed his talent from the 2020/21 season and there has been no slowing down since.

Last season, he scored 21 goals in the league, which helped his club stay in the top division with a 13th placed finish. This season, however, he is in even more critical form as he has scored 17 goals in just 21 appearances. He is leading the goalscoring chart alongside Ciro Immobile. En-route this rampant form, he also equalled the Serie A record made by Cristiano Ronaldo for the most goals (33) scored in a calendar year in 2021.

Dusan Vlahovic Breaks Arsenal Hearts

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future looks bleak and Arsenal have received bids for him which they will deeply consider. Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are in the final six months of their contract with no visible progress. Their current forward situation is concerning, as a result of which they were in the market for a world-class forward.

Arsenal were one of the strongest bidders for the Serbian. Arsenal’s technical director Edu had been working really hard to land the talent. They had also placed an enormous bid which was accepted by Fiorentina. However, Vlahovic had his heart in Turin and their lack of Champions League displays proved to be the crucial point in Vlahovic opting for a move to Juventus.

Mikel Arteta and Arsenal will be left frustrated by the disappointing outcome. However, they will now be focusing on securing the rumoured alternatives of Alexander Isak and Luka Jovic before time runs out.

Juventus have agreed to an initial deal of €67 Million with Fiorentina, which will rise to €75 Million after add-ons are included. If there are no hold-ups, the 21-year-old forward could complete his medicals with Bianconeri this week. His addition could be a huge bonus for the club as they prepare for the Champions League fixture against Villarreal.

Juventus to Part Ways With Alvaro Morata?

Alvaro Morata has been attracting interest from Barcelona this transfer window. The player who is currently on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid is tipped to spend the remainder of the season with the Blaugrana. However, his agent has dampened those rumours;

“The road for Barcelona is no longer current. Alvaro feels well in Turin and we’ll see what will happen with Atletico Madrid in the summer. I am optimistic about his future in Black and White. Like Benzema, he works a lot for the team and he wasn’t scoring many goals with Cristiano Ronaldo”. Marco Branca told Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia.

Juventus is having a tough season, and so is he. He has managed to find the back of the net only eight times this season for the Old Lady. Even if he won’t make a move to Spain this month, his future remains unclear with his contract with Atletico Madrid coming to an end in 2023.
