Marcus Rashford Set To Extend Deal At Old Trafford
Appreciated Figure At The Club
It is understood Rashford is appreciated greatly by senior figures at the club. Sources also state that with the likes of Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard running their contracts down, this is something United wanted to avoid with Rashford. United are now at risk of losing Pogba and Lingard on free transfers at the end of the season so from a business point of view, it makes sense for the club to extend Rashford’s current contract. Also from Rashford’s point of view, he is a Manchester lad, an academy graduate and a United fan, he will also want to extend his stay at the club and fans expect Rashford to be at Old Trafford for most of his career.
Rashford Putting In The Work
Rashford has endured a period of poor form for United recently and Ralf Rangnick could not explain the poor display as he states that Rashford has been doing everything right in training. Reports have emerged that Rashford spends almost 12 hours a day at Carrington and is determined to get out of this bad patch of form. He also quizzes the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo regularly when it comes to small details like muscle mass. It is clear Rashford is doing his upmost best to improve himself on a daily basis. It is also understood that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a great relationship with Rashford as Solskjaer was clearly a good man manager. However, the lack of coaching Solskjaer carried out might have hampered the attacking game of Rashford. This is a good move for United to do as they will avoid the situation they are currently enduring with Pogba and Lingard. The club believe Rashford possesses a phenomenal talent and fans will hope he will be able to get out of this poor run of form as soon as possible.
