Anthony Martial ready to leave Old Trafford after a six-year tenure at Manchester United. The Frenchman signed for the Reds in 2015. Despite a promising start, it’s fair to say that he didn’t play at the level fans expected.

Did He Live Up To The Price Tag?
Anthony Martial made his name instantly for Manchester United after scoring a goal on his debut against fierce rivals, Liverpool. Many fans were questioning him when he was signed but at that moment, every Manchester United fan was thoroughly behind him. Martial partnered with Marcus Rashford and the duo had instant chemistry.
However, Martial’s time in the Premier League has been on a downward spiral for a long time now. The striker only scored four goals in the league last season and has scored one in seven so far this season. Manchester United fans don’t think these numbers are good enough for a striker. The board seems to have a similar opinion after signing several strikers over recent years including the likes of Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Anthony Martial Set To Leave
Martial’s agent, Phillippe Lamboley, recently spoke to Sky Sports News and said, “Anthony wishes to leave the club in January”. He also went on to say, “he needs to play. He doesn’t want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon.”
Manchester United have an embarrassment of riches going forward and they will probably be happy to sell the forward if they can agree on a price.
Who Could He Benefit?
Despite underwhelming performances, Martial definitely has a lot to offer. The French forward is only 26-years-old and has several years left in his playing career. Many Premier League teams would benefit by signing him. Teams such as West Ham United and Crystal Palace could be willing to make a move for the Frenchman.
