Sevilla and Manchester Untied have agreed a loan for Anthony Martial. Sevilla are enjoying a relatively successful campaign thus far with them trailing league leaders Real Madrid by 4 points. Martial is a hugely talented player and we have seen glimpses of this at Old Trafford but with the attacking depth on offer at Manchester United, this seems like a good move for the Frenchmen as he will undoubtedly have ambitions of playing for his country in the Qatar World Cup.
Sevilla Agree Loan Deal For Anthony Martial
Good Deal for All Parties Involved
Regarding Martial, it is expected he will be a regular starter for Sevilla, and it will be interesting to see where he plays in the forward line. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer played Martial as a number 9 throughout his tenure as manager but Martial’s best performances in his career have come from the left. For Sevilla, they will hope the player can aid them in their pursuit of the title and the fact Martial has endured a pay cut to join the club can only be encouraging for the fans as it shows the player is desperate for game time. Coincidently, Martial played a significant role in the previous league game for United as he played the ball to Edinson Cavani who put it on a plate for Marcus Rashford to seal the three points. His brief stint on the pitch reminded everyone the talent he possesses. Ralf Rangnick stated last week that Martial did not want to play for the club and this came as a shock to the fans. Martial replied on social media advising this was not the case. Due to this, the player did receive some boos when he came on against West Ham. He is not in Ragnick’s plans, if he was Rangnick would not let him leave, such is the case with Edinson Cavani. Cavani was told by Rangnick he could not leave. It seems that a similar conversation with Marital did not take place and maybe this deal could help United in their pursuit of a midfielder as Marital is off the wage bill. All in all, he was a player loved by the United fans and the recent situation was unfortunate. Whether he returns to Old Trafford after the loan spell remains to be seen however it does seem to be unlikely at this moment of time.
