Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare has been sacked just four months after having signed a three-year deal following a poor start to the season.

Leicester City Manager Sent Packing

Third from bottom of the table, the Foxes have failed to win any of their last six Premiership matches.

Of their ten games in all competitions, Leicester City have won only three, drawing three, and losing four—albeit the league losses were against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

However, they’ve only been victors once in the Premiership, at home to Brighton. Their latest 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion appears to be have been the bullet in the gun. Or rather the knife in the back for Shakespeare.

Though he would have known of knife edge life of Premiership Management, his predecessor Claudio Ranieri the perfect example, his exit at this stage of the season must still have come as a surprise.

Those at the top of the King Power stadium have proven once again, how little margin for failure is allowed, following their surprise Premiership Title two seasons ago.

The fans’ reaction appears mixed, many having forgotten how he got them to the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season.
