Tottenham and Arsenal clash this Sunday in the Premier League game of the weekend. This is a North London Derby with big expectations on both sides.
Arsenal will once again starts the weekend on top, and has the chance to keep it that way without even looking at their rivals’ results. The Gunners are back at their best after achieving back-to-back wins, 2-0 at Wolverhampton and the fantastic display in their 5-0 win over Chelsea last Tuesday. Just four games stand in the way of Arsenal becoming Premier League champions exactly 20 years since the ‘Invincibles’.
Looking at Arsenal’s upcoming fixtures, it is clear they have two very tough games on the road in the derby against Spurs and then against rivals Manchester United. However, the remaining two games at the Emirates will be against Bournemouth and an Everton team they would hope already saved from relegation to close the campaign. Mikel Arteta knows better than anybody else that a win on Sunday could be half job done with the other half to be decided at Old Trafford.

Aston Villa has a six-point advantage on the board, but Tottenham has played two fewer games, leaving still a lot to play for. The Villains still have European football on the agenda and have to face the likes of Chelsea, Brighton and Liverpool. However, Spurs also face a rather difficult fixture they still have to play against the three title contenders and a visit to Chelsea, meaning a very hard road to Champions League football in the 2024/25 season.
