Manchester City faces Nottingham Forest with the chance of surpassing Arsenal if they fail to beat Tottenham earlier on Sunday. The Cityzens beat Brighton 4-0 away on Thursday in what was one of their hardest remaining games on paper. It took them just over 30 minutes to be 3-0 up and manage the game comfortably not showing any signs of missing Erling Haaland, who was still absent due to injury.
Still one point behind Arsenal – but crucially with an extra game left to play in the run-in – Pep Guardiola´s side depends purely on themselves to win the title. Even though anything can happen with five games remaining, it is hard to point out a game where they could drop points, save for their trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It has been a cursed venue for City in the past but one they have already overcome this season in their 1-0 win in the FA Cup.

As the games go by, they seem to get closer and closer to their fourth consecutive title, a mark that has never been achieved in the Premier League era. Arsenal’s only hope is to win all their remaining games and hope City will at least draw one of their five to decide the league on goal difference where they currently hold the advantage by 8 goals.
Nottingham Forest is just about surviving relegation with one point over Lutton Town and a 10-goal difference advantage that could come in handy. Sadly for the Reds, their two remaining games at The City Ground will be against tough opposition in Manchester City and Chelsea. In order to stay up, they will need to score points on the road in their visits to Sheffield United and a final-like game against Burnley.
