As we enter March, the Premier League relegation battle is set to become more intense with the latter stages of the season looming, and the potential of relegation getting closer for those sides involved.
Throughout the March Fulham fixtures, they face four of the five teams in the bottom five of the Premier League. Therefore, can they have a pivotal say on who is relegated from the Premier League?
Fulham Fixtures: An Advantageous Opportunity for the Cottagers?
In a similar manner to previous seasons, Fulham currently sit around mid-table in the Premier League, with the potential to challenge those above them. In order to do so, Fulham fixtures may be pivotal in determining their fortunes, as well as the fortunes of other sides.
When reflecting on previous results this season, Fulham fixtures coming up may be positive for the side, as they have won most of their previous fixtures against the Premier League’s bottom sides.
Fulham’s victory against Tottenham, defeating Igor Tudor’s side 2-1, allowed them to do the double over their London rivals, reflecting a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture. The Whites did defeat West Ham 1-0 at the London Stadium. However, they were defeated 1-0 after a Crysencio Summerville goal in their home fixture against West Ham. However, they have also defeated Nottingham Forest and Burnley this season.
Should the Whites replicate previous results against Burnley and Nottingham Forest, Fulhamfixtures could see the team in an advantageous position by the end of March, dependant on other results. However, last season, the Whites often dropped points against those battling relegation, indicating that they still have potential to do so.
Fulham’s run of fixtures against sides battling relegation last season saw them drop points against the likes of Ipswich and Southampton, also defeating the Saints at St Marys when they were perhaps not good value to do so. However, they were victorious in both of their matches against the other relegated side, Leicester City.

Fulham Fixtures: The View From the Sides Battling Relegation
Following their defeat against Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur have continued their dismal form. The North London side have suffered three losses out of three under Igor Tudor, as the club’s issues become critical. However, West Ham continued their revival under Nuno Espirito Santo against Fulham, albeit obtaining victory due to a calamitous error from Bernd Leno.
Following this, Fulham fixtures sees them travel to the City Ground. Nottingham Forest have lost by a slender margin in the matches they have played under Vitor Pereira so far. However, they have found wins hard to come by recently, indicating that the Whites will be hoping for three points in this fixture.
Fulham fixtures in March culminates in a home tie against Burnley as they play host to ex-manager Scott Parker. Parker’s side are in the most trouble out of the teams Fulham are set to play against in their upcoming fixtures. Therefore, Parker may not still be in charge by the time this fixture takes place. However, this is a fixture that the away side will need to maximise points from.
Fulham fixtures in March is a pivotal run for not only the Whites, but for those sides occupying the relegation spots. As each game passes, each set of points becomes more and more valuable for each of those teams. Therefore, Fulham may be set to produce some damaging blows for the sides, or, in contrast, allow them to obtain valuable victories.
