FA Cup Semifinals Preview

Manchester United vs Chelsea

Both teams have been winning lately, so this is sure to be a great matchup. The Red Devils have that killer mentality and put teams away. They have taken advantage of their favorable schedule and beat the teams they are expected to beat. Their most impressive win was against Sheffield United where they easily won 3-0. Just this week, Sheffield United beat Chelsea 3-0. Chelsea have had many defensive problems this season. Recently, this has caused them to drop easy points.

Manchester United seem to be the favourite to win this game because they have dominated Chelsea this season. Bruno Fernandes has changed the mentality of the team and has been arguably one of the best players in the Premier League. The only player you could make an argument for team impact is Kevin De Bruyne. Also, Mason Greenwood has been sensational. He might not get the spotlight like Christain Pulisic but he has a very impressive season. Chelsea better have their best starting 11 if they want any chance.

Manchester City vs Arsenal

Manchester City have seemed to figure it lately beating Liverpool, Newcastle United and Brighton by a score of 14-0. Raheem Sterling has scored in all three of those games including a hat trick vs Brighton. Kevin De Bruyne is trying to break the single-season assist record set by Thierry Henry. Their only concern is their defense as they have conceded goals because of mental errors. Arsenal has been impressive lately beating Wolves 2-0 and drawing 1-1 vs Leicester City. Manchester City are favourites to win this game, but Arsenal might play better than people expect.

If Arsenal play like they did in their last two games they have a puncher’s chance. Manchester City do make occasional errors and Arsenal will need to take advantage of those opportunities. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will need to score in order to get the win. The difference in this game is Gabriel Jesus. He has been hot and cold all season. If he misses easy chances it could come back to bite him. A saving grace for Arsenal is that Aguero is out with an injury.
