Leandro Trossard‘s goal played its part in securing a 4-1 Arsenal win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday, November 23. Arsenal are now top of both the Premier League table and the Champions League group table.
Jurrien Timber, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli scored in a fine day for the Gunners’ wingers against Bayern. However, Trossard, who had scored his team’s opening goal against Tottenham Hotspur, is currently enjoying a good run of form.
Leandro Trossard’s Goal vs Tottenham: Fifth for Arsenal This Season
Trossard has now scored five goals in 15 matches for Arsenal so far this season. The Belgian, who will be 31 in a week’s time, has played in 139 matches for the Gunners so far and scored 33 goals.
Arsenal’s squad is stacked with quality players, which means that Trossard has often been forced to play as a substitute for them. With players like Madueke, Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze, the Gunners are spoilt for choice on the flanks.
Trossard has played as the false nine for Arsenal in the past when Kai Havertz has been injured. However, the Gunners now have Viktor Gyokeres upfront, which means that the scope for Trossard to play has become even more limited.
Trossard’s ability to launch into his shots from the edge of the opposition penalty box and find the net with accurate shots is a great quality to have. His goal against Tottenham was scored with such a shot from the edge of the penalty box that gave the goal-keeper no chance at all and went to the far corner of the net.

The Gunners Will Look To Win Multiple Titles This Season
With almost a third of the season already over, the Gunners are looking good for multiple title triumphs. With neither Manchester City nor Liverpool being anywhere near their respective best, it is a great chance for the Gunners to strike gold.
Chelsea are still in the reckoning and will face Arsenal next in Premier League, but the Royal Blues are not yet the finished product that can go on to win the league title. Hence, the likes of Trossard will be eyeing their first silverware for the Gunners this season.
On average, Trossard scores once in every four matches for Arsenal, which is not a great frequency. However, if one takes the importance of the goals scored by the Belgian, one will find that he is a very valuable player for the club.
He will continue to be used on the left flank despite the presence of Martinelli. Mikel Arteta has been playing Eberechi Eze as the No. 10, which means that Trossard can continue to attack through the inside-left channel.
It now remains to be seen whether the Belgian’s fourth season with the North London Club yields a trophy for them. The chances are really good, and should that happen in the end, Trossard will have played a key role in making things click for the North London club.
