Liverpool Discover Two New Conditions To Complete Blockbuster 73 G/A Striker Signing

Liverpool had a successful beginning to their Premier League title defence, as they began the 2025/26 league campaign with a comprehrenseive 4-2 win over Bournemouth at Anfield. It was a special outing for multiple of their new signings, with summer signing Hugo Ekitike also scoring his first goal for the Reds.

However, that has not stopped Liverpool’s interest in signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and there’s now a new twist in terms of the conditions that the Magpies are internally considering to think about letting him leave.

What Conditions Must Be Met For Newcastle United To Consider Alexander Isak’s Sale To Liverpool?

Alexander Isak is currently entangled into a heated cold war with Newcastle United, as he’s refusing to train or make himself available to play any matches for them in the near future.

He recently released a statement on his Instagram stories hinting that the club had promised to sell him for the right offer in the summer. After that, Newcastle released a statement disputing all this and are reportedly adamant about keeping hold of him.

However, it’s being reported now that there are a few conditions that must be met for Newcastle United to think about selling the Swedish forward to Liverpool.

One of the major conditions set by the Magpies is that they are valuing Isak at around £150 million. That is why they rejected Liverpool’s opening offer for Isak as they do not intend to give them any kind of discounts for Isak.

Moreover, it’s also being claimed that Newcastle United could be intrigued to make a decision on Isak’s sale if the Reds were to offer around £130 million, but this can only be possible once the Magpies strengthen their attacking line.

Newcastle United failed in their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko earlier this season, with the Slovenian striker moving to Manchester United instead. It’s being reported that Newcastle are initially focusing on finding an apt replacement for Isak before thinking about selling him.

Despite their interest in Brentford man Yoane Wissa, the Magpies consider Wissa as a Callum Wilson replacement and would want a younger, more prolific striker to replace Isak. If they are able to find a replacement for Isak, then they could make a decision to sell him to Liverpool for the right price.

What Can Isak Bring To Liverpool?

Alexander Isak can prove to be a blockbuster signing for Liverpool and create an amazing attacking line alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and summer signing Florian Wirtz.

The Swedish forward has already proven his quality in the Premier League, scoring 23 goals in the division last season and being among the top scorers as well. He even scored against Liverpool to help Newcastle win the 2025 Carabao Cup title, helping them end a lengthy trophy drought.

Even though he’s become a villain at St. James Park, Isak would definitely be embraced as a hero at Anfield. He has 73 goal contributions for Newcastle (62 goals, 11 assists) in all competitions and also boasted some impressive metrics last season.

Isak averaged 0.64 non-penalty goals, 3.04 shot-creating actions and 3.21 shot attempts per 90 minutes in the Premier League last season, among the best for any forward in the division.

The 25-year-old is physically adept to trouble defenders, is impressively quick in getting at the end of chances and an efficient finisher who can easily add 20+ goals for Liverpool. For now, it’s a waiting game to see if the ambitious deal can actually get completed.
