Mohamed Salah is showing no signs of slowing down. He scored a brace in Liverpool’s latest win against Southampton by converting a couple of penalties on Saturday, March 8.
Liverpool are now 15 points ahead of Arsenal, who have a game in hand.
With Arsenal having only 10 more matches to play in the Premier League this season, the fate of the title-race seems all but decided now.
Arne Slot should be winning the league title in his debut season in England, but it is Salah who deserves a special mention for the Reds.
Mohamed Salah Has Been Superb Even by His Own Lofty Standards This Season
Salah has scored 32 goals so far this season. Saturday’s brace against Southampton means that he has 243 goals in 390 matches for Liverpool now.
The fewest goals he has scored in any season is 23. Going by his form, he should be able to reach the 250-goals mark by the end of the season.
Only Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero have scored 250-plus goals for English clubs in the Premier League era.
Should Salah’s contract with Liverpool be renewed even for a couple of years, the 32-year-old Egyptian will have a chance to reach the 300-goals mark for the Reds.
Even considering the fact that he usually takes the penalties for his club, those numbers are seriously good for a right-winger.
It cannot be forgotten that Salah has also registered almost 100 assists for the Reds as well, which goes on to underline his importance for the team.
Unless some major upsets take place during the remainder of the season, the Egyptian King will be winning his second Premier League title with Liverpool.
With some good fortune, he might win a second UEFA Champions League title, too.

Liverpool Face a Pivotal Champions League Clash Against PSG
The Reds will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie this week.
While Alisson saved the Reds in Paris in the first leg by making a number of outrageous saves, Salah had a below-par day.
He will look to make amends by performing well at Anfield to take his side past PSG into the quarterfinals.
Liverpool topped the group stage in the revamped Champions League format and should have a very strong chance of reaching the final at least.
Whether his contract materialises with the club or not, Salah should have a big motivation to win his second Champions League title.
He has done a tremendous job for his club this season and should look to end on a real high.
Winning the Premier League, however, will be enough to mark the season as a success for Slot’s men.
The Anfield faithful will want Salah to stay at the club, but the management might be having other ideas.
Irrespective of whether a deal takes place, the Reds will always remember Salah for his superb services.
He is by some distance the greatest player from his continent to have the greatest Premier League legacy. The scary thing is that he still has enough time to build on it.
