Monaco have respectably started their Ligue Une campaign as they currently sit fourth in the league behind Marseille, Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain. However, Manchester City currently sit seventh in the Premier League, having had an unsteady opening to their Premier League campaign.

The Cityzens are yet to defeat a side in a league position higher than 14th this season. However, they will go into this match believing that they have a stronger side than their French counterparts.

Can Ansu Fati Continue His Good League Form Against a Premier League Side?

Since the last clash between these two sides, Monaco have drastically changed their team, making various new signings. One of these new signings, who joined the club in the summer, is former Barcelona winger Ansu Fati.

The last two years for Ansu Fati have been tough, as the youngster has seen limited football. He has had a spell in England with Brighton, as well as returning to Barcelona, where he only featured in six La Liga matches last season.

However, since his arrival at Monaco, Fati appears to have rediscovered his form. The young winger has scored three goals in two Ligue 1 matches, as well as notching the consolation goal in Monaco’s defeat against Club Brugge.

The Spanish winger will have to be at his very best to test a terrific Manchester City side. However, for many, it is pleasing to see Fati return to form, and many will hope that continues.

Savinho Set to Sign a New Deal: Can the Young Brazilian Repay the Faith Against Monaco?

Throughout the summer, Manchester City winger Savinho was repeatedly linked with a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur as the North London side looked to bolster their squad following the arrival of Thomas Frank.

However, the winger remained at Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola pleased that Savinho will continue with the side. In order to solidify his intentions to remain with the club, Savinho is set to sign a deal that ensures he remains in Manchester until 2031.

Although Savinho has only played 88 minutes in the Premier League so far this season and started one match, the match against Monaco may present an opportunity for the winger, should he be provided with it. Manchester City may believe that they have a stronger side than Monaco, thus allowing Savinho to have a chance to prove his worth.

Known for his flair and trickery, Savinho is still only 21 years of age and still has significant room for development and maturing. Should he be utilised well at Manchester City in the coming years, the £21 million that the Cityzens paid to acquire his services may prove to be invaluable.
