Tottenham Hotspur Told Intimidating Price Tag For ‘Unbelievable’ 11 G/A Forward To Fire Up Attacking Strength

Tottenham Hotspur are looking for ways to strengthen their squad ahead of the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season, as new head coach Thomas Frank is still trying to find out his best lineup.

The Lilywhites have made a few notable signings in the summer window, especially with the arrival of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, but they are still looking to strengthen their frontline going forward.

As a result, it looks like Spurs are now lining up an ambitious move for Manchester City winger Savinho to light up the frontline.

How Much Will Manchester City Demand From Tottenham Hotspur For Savinho’s Sale?

It’s been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Tottenham have actually begun discussions with Manchester City over the possibility of signing Savinho in the 2025 summer window.

As the two clubs continue negotiations, the Brazilian winger has indicated that he is open to moving to the North London club as long as the two sides can actually agree on a transfer fee.

Thomas Frank reportedly sees him as the ideal player to fit into his system at Spurs and strengthen his attacking options as well. However, it won’t exactly be an easy deal for the Lilywhites because Pep Guardiola’s side have no plans on giving any discount to them on a transfer.

Even though it’s been reported that Tottenham have already made an opening bid of around £43.3 million for the 21-year-old’s signing, that isn’t enough to make Manchester City budge.

The former Premier League champions are reportedly told Spurs that they are not actively looking to sell the winger and that it would take offers of more than £50 million to make them consider offloading the Brazilian winger.

That is because the Cityzens had only signed the 21-year-old from Troyes for over £30 million in 2024 and are hoping to make a substantial profit on his sale to consider giving him away to a Premier League rival.

That means the North London club will need to increase their bid to convince Manchester City to sell Savinho ahead of the new league campaign.

How Does Savinho Fit Into Thomas Frank’s Team?

Savinho earned his reputation as a menacing up-and-coming winger with his heroics for Girona, for whom he scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 41 appearances before moving to Manchester City.

The 21-year-old had a pretty eventful first season with Guardiola’s side, scoring just three goals, but providing 13 assists in 48 games across all competitions.

The Brazilian winger is versatile enough to play on either on the right-wing or as a left-winger, and can even possibly slot into a central No.10 role if absolutely necessary.

Savinho provided 10 assists in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign for his side, more than what any Tottenham Hotspur player managed in the league.

The Brazilian youngster boasted some impressive metrics in the Premier League last season, averaging 5.15 shot-creating actions, 2.77 shot attempts, and 6.61 progressive carries per 90 minutes in the Premier League.

In comparison, Spurs forward Brennan Johnson averaged 2.12 shot attempts, 1.72 shot-creating actions and 2.21 progressive carries per game last season. Dejan Kulusevski averaged 4.75 shot-creating actions, 1.89 shot attempts and 4.42 progressive carries per 90 minutes, with the Brazilian winger outperforming them both in the key measuring statistics.

This basically shows why Tottenham are pushing hard to sign Savinho to strengthen their attack. They have been left a bit short-staffed in options after Son Heung-Min’s departure to LAFC and James Maddison suffering a nasty injury.

Savinho, who had 11 G/A (goals+assists) with one goal and 10 assists in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign and was hailed as “unbelievable” by Pep Guardiola, can light up Tottenham’s attacking force and improve their creativity as well as ruthlessness on the counter-attacks.
