Manchester United were knocked out by Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League round of 16. They have previously been knocked out of the League Cup and FA Cup by West Ham and Middlesbrough respectively. They are currently sixth on the Premier League table, with almost no realistic chance of displacing leaders Manchester City. They are most likely going to finish the season without a trophy and apparently, some of the players are fed up.
Paul Pogba Could Leave Manchester United in the Summer in Search of Trophies
Pogba Fed up with Manchester United’s Current Situation
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has disclosed his dissatisfaction with the club’s current situation. Speaking to Le Figaro, he said;
“You have to be honest, these last five seasons have not satisfied me — really not at all. This year is dead, we won’t win anything. Whether it’s with Manchester United or another club, I want to win trophies.
“It’s simple with France, I play and I play in my position — I know my role and I feel the confidence of the coach and the players. It’s normal to feel a difference at Manchester United because it’s hard to be consistent when you often have a change to your position, or the team system, or your [midfield] partners.
“I get along very well with [France manager Didier Deschamps], he gave me a role that I know — but at Manchester United do I really have a role? I ask the question, but I don’t have an answer.”
When asked about a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain, Pogba replied;
“Why not? It is always good to play with teammates in the French national team and club.”
Clubs like Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in the 29-year old. He could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the summer.
