Manchester United may be keen to sign Jadon Sancho for next season, while at the same time making sure they do not lose out on the chance to keep Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo at the club. However, the club, while having identified Jadon Sancho as one of their primary target alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Lautaro Martinez, they must make provision for other alternative signings. One of those alternative signings is Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.
Why is Manchester United not Interested in Signing Former Player Wilfried Zaha?
The fact that Manchester United have not looked the way of former player Wilfred Zaha is worthy of note. He is a player who has matured over the years playing club football for the English Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils may have signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace, but how come is the United board not interested in reuniting him with the Ivorian star?
Zaha has been a splendid performer for the Crystal Palace side season after season. He deserves a look in the wake of the current transfer window.
Zaha’s Consistency Deserves Praise Amid Clubs Interested
Although Arsenal has been interested in signing him in the past they could not meet up with the financial demands of Palace.
It’s up to United to make an improved bid. The Ivorian forward has thrived in the Premier League for years now and deserves a move to any of the top sides, especially to a high profile club like Manchester United.
He’s been a consistent player for Palace while also been a game-changer for the modest English side. Although, his form has slowed down this season. If he’s been brought to Old Trafford, he would perform creditably well in United colours.
With Solskjaer and his side in need of attacking options, Wilfred Zaha’s quality and experience as a player could be a positive boost ahead of the next campaign.
What Wilfried Zaha Could Achieve for Manchester United
He would be an amazing signing for the Red Devils if he makes the moves from Selhurst Park.
It would be great for him to unite with his former club after leaving Old Trafford as a young player some season ago. Zaha would suit United’s attacking style as much as he can help the club fulfill its aspiration, much with the presence of Bruno Fernandes in midfield.
United would hope they can keep Paul Pogba for many reasons while they evaluate other possible transfer alternatives. And, this could include the prospect of having Wilfred Zaha join the Red Devils on a good note for next season amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the league is set to return (although, perhaps too soon), Zaha could really make his mark with a big club if Manchester United go for him now.
