Aston Villa seems to have had a useful January transfer window recently. They have been able to rope in both Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio on loan to bolster their attack.
Now, Villa have one of the strongest attacks, at least on paper, in the Premier League.
They have also signed Donyell Malen and Axel Disasi to further strengthen their squad.
Villa have also qualified for the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League this season.
However, they find themselves in eighth position on the Premier League table at the moment, making European competition unlikely next season.
Great Attacking Depth
Villa have Ollie Watkins as their No. 9, who has scored 11 goals so far this season.
The likes of Youri Tielemans, Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Martinez, each of whom have played international football for their respective nations, are also in the squad.
Aston Villa actually rejected Arsenal’s bid to sign Watkins from them in the January transfer window recently.
Thus, Unai Emery has one of the most formidable sets of players at his disposal.
The addition of Rashford and Asensio, both of whom have plied their trade in the past for European giants like Manchester United and Real Madrid, should put them in a position to fight for a top-four finish.
Malen is also a quality forward capable of breaching opposition defences.
The departure of Jhon Duran, however, should affect Aston Villa to an extent.
The Colombian has been a good player for them in the recent past, but the presence of Rashford and Asensio should be able to make up for Duran’s absence.
Rashford should have a point to prove after having fallen out of favour with the club management at Manchester United.
He should be raring to go and eager to make up for the lost time in the recent past that saw him warm the bench for the Red Devils.
With more than 420 appearances for United under his belt, Rashford is a very experienced player. As is Asensio, who has won three Champions League and three La Liga titles with Los Blancos.
Asensio has played almost 300 matches for Real Madrid and then spent a season at Paris Saint-Germain, making him one of the most experienced wingers currently in world football.

A Strong Finish to the Season?
With their wealth of experience, Rashford and Asensio should be able to give a fresh impetus to Aston Villa’s attack.
They should also help the Villans to climb to a top-four or at least a top-six position to help them continue playing European football next season.
Their presence should also help Aston Villa in their upcoming Champions League matches in order to qualify for the latter stages of the competition.
It will not be an easy task to contend with the continental giants, but a number of Villa players have the pedigree and experience to compete with the very best.
Aston Villa will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend and then face Chelsea, Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace in their next three Premier League matches.
This month should prove to be crucial in shaping the season for Unai Emery’s men, with his new acquisitions potentially playing a key role.
