The Jude Bellingham form for Real Madrid is not that great at the moment. The 22-year-old Englishman, who was a strong contender for winning the Ballon d’Or two seasons ago, has been an average performer since then.
Had the Jude Bellingham form for Madrid been better, Los Blancos might have been able to stay ahead of Barcelona in the league table. Barcelona lead Real Madrid by four points after 27 rounds of matches.
Jude Bellingham Form Has Been Ordinary for Real Madrid This Season
Bellingham has scored six goals and registered four assists in 28 matches for Real this season. Those are not very bad numbers, but distinctly average for a player of the calibre of Bellingham.
This is in stark contrast to the 2023/24 season, which was Bellingham’s debut season at Madrid and saw him score 23 goals and register 13 assists in 42 matches. Bellingham scored 15 goals and registered 11 assists last season in 58 matches.
Those were decent numbers again, but not quite up to the very lofty standards of his debut season. The Jude Bellingham form for Real Madrid has come down sharply since the start of last season. Overall, he has 44 goals and 28 assists in 128 matches for Real so far.
He has had injury issues as well, which continue to plague him this season. In the 2023/24 season, he played on the left flank at times despite being a central midfielder, but since then, he has primarily played in central midfield.
With the arrival of Kylian Mbappe last season, a slot in Real Madrid’s attack has been occupied by the Frenchman. That means that Bellingham has not had enough options to alter his playing position.
Still, the Jude Bellingham form taking a slump is probably primarily owing to injuries and the rising expectations from him.

Bellingham Still Has Enough Time To Salvage His Season
Real Madrid can still win a double. However, for that to happen, they will have to overcome the stiff challenge posed by Manchester City in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. They are in a tasty race with Barcelona in La Liga, and it could go either way eventually.
However, Bellingham is unlikely to feature in the first leg against the Cityzens in the UCL round of 16 tie at Santiago Bernabeu.
Hence, an improvement in Jude Bellingham form might help Madrid achieve their targets of winning a double. The likes of Vinicius and Mbappe are there, but Real will need help from the Englishman as well.
A major issue with Bellingham is that he is not quite adept at playing on the right flank. Had he been, he might have been tried there, as the form of Rodrygo has not been great at all, and Arda Guler, another candidate to play on the right, is still not experienced enough.
As of now, Bellingham will have to continue to play as the No.10 and excel in that position only. His physicality and finishing ability should help him to improve his numbers and help his team out in the process.
It now remains to be seen whether Bellingham is able to improve his form and thereby help Los Blancos win some silverware or more this season after having finished the previous season trophyless.
