Starboy Bukayo Saka led his boyhood club Arsenal into the UEFA Champions League Final after his goal against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final helped Arsenal win the match 1-0.
For only the second time in their history, the Gunners have reached the UEFA Champions League final.
Starboy Bukayo Saka scored his goal just before half-time, as his effort paved the way for Arsenal reaching the UEFA Champions League final for the first time since 2006.
The effort was not only a history-making goal, but it also underlined the 24-year-old’s utility as a player for the Gunners.
Starboy Bukayo Saka: 11 Goals For The Season, But This One Was Arguably The Most Important Of Them All
Bukayo Saka’s goal on Tuesday was his 11th of the season. The Englishman has now scored 81 goals in 309 matches for Arsenal, which makes him the most successful Arsenal right-winger since Freddie Ljungberg.
Starboy Bukayo Saka has been Arsenal’s primary creative outlet for quite some time now. The Gunners continue to launch their attacks primarily along the right flank and in the inside-right channel, with the Englishman behind most of them.
Saka is extremely slippery with his runs and is a great dribbler, too. He also makes sure to go near the by-line and deliver crosses with his right foot.
With an opportunistic striker like Viktor Gyokeres upfront, the Gunners have an increased efficiency in their attacks because of Saka’s probing runs.
The 24-year-old has faced some competition from Noni Madueke for the place of the right-winger in Arsenal’s starting XI this season. In fact, Madueke’s performance was better at times than Saka’s, thus leaving the latter on the bench.
However, as his performance on Tuesday showed once again, there is probably no better attacking player than the English right-winger in Arsenal’s starting XI. Despite his young age, Saka has been at Arsenal for seven seasons and is one of the senior players in the squad.

Arsenal are very close to achieving the coveted double of winning the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League this season. Should they achieve that or even win one of those competitions, it will give a great impetus to Saka’s career.
He has not won much aside from the lone FA Cup triumph several years ago. Helping his team win any or both of the big trophies is surely going to boost his career.
It should boost his morale ahead of the 2026 World Cup as well. Saka is almost assured of a start on England’s right flank if he stays fit until the tournament starts.
With the likes of Cole Palmer and Phil Foden going through indifferent form, the onus will be on Saka and Madueke to deliver for their country on the right side of the pitch.
However, as of now, Starboy Bukayo Saka will give the Arsenal supporters hopes of securing European glory for the first time in the history of the club.
The Bukayo Saka goal on Tuesday once again established the fact that he was one of Arsenal’s key players, a match-winner in his own right.
