The Premier League’s mid-table battle is tightly contested, with only a handful of points separating the teams knocking on the door of the top six and the ones that are closer to the relegation trap door.
Brentford vs Bournemouth was a giant clash in that mid-table scrap, with a win for either of the sides pulling them closer to the elusive top six and potential European football.
Brentford vs Bournemouth 4-1: Hat-Trick Hero Kevin Schade Fires The Bees Into The Top Half And Closer To The Top Six
Both sides were firmly in the tight mid-table battle ahead of the Brentford vs Bournemouth kick-off, with just a point separating the two.
It was the hosts who looked odds-on favourites, however, as they came into the game with a very favourable home record and with the match being played at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Brentford did make that home advantage count as Igor Thiago played a beautiful ball through to Kevin Schade, who outmuscled Bafode Diakite and fired the ball into the bottom corner past Djorde Petrovic.
Just before half-time, the Cherries’ defence completely collapsed as Thiago barred down on goal.
His shot bounced off Marcos Senesi and hit Petrovic as the ball looped over the goalkeeper and headed goalwards.
Diakite scrambled back to try and keep the ball out of the net; however, Petrovic was looking to do the same, but instead put the ball into his own net after the defender cleared it off the line.
After the break, the Bees picked up from where they left off as Schade’s solo run was temporarily halted, but the Brentford number seven still had the ball in the back of the net after Yegor Yarmolyuk’s cross found the winger in the box.
Even though Antoine Semenyo scored for a third game running to bring the game back to 3-1, it was Schade’s day as he claimed his third of the afternoon.
The Kevin Schade hat-trick against Bournemouth puts him in great company with many Premier League greats who have scored multiple hat-tricks in the league, as the German is the latest player to join that elusive list.

Hat-Trick Hero Schade Takes Brentford Into The Top Half
When you think of the Bees’ season, you would look at the likes of Igor Thiago, who is flying in front of goal and is the second top goalscorer in the league with 11 goals, or you would think about their current manager, Keith Andrews, being a set-piece coach only a matter of months ago.
Thiago has taken most of the headlines and Schade has been lurking in the background with the other attacking players as the Brentford number nine is having a breakthrough campaign in the Premier League after not really getting a sniff last season for the Bees.
With that being said, Schade is enjoying his role in Andrews’ 4-2-3-1 formation as he can use his pace and power to run at defenders and take shots on goal, cutting in from the wide positions.
After being in the limelight last season with 11 goals, Schade will certainly be happy that his attacking partner in crime, Thiago, is having the prolific season that he is having, but will want to reach those heights once again and show that he’s not here just to make up the numbers.
Brentford vs Bournemouth hat-trick hero Schade will show with his thunderous goals against Bournemouth that he can reach the heights of last season and that his play from out wide make him a danger in any game.
He may not be producing consistent six or seven out of 10 performances, but hopefully, with this hat-trick, Schade can help out Thiago much more and take the weight off the Brazilian’s shoulders as Brentford slowly climb up the table.
