Real Madrid’s on-loan midfielder Dani Ceballos has admitted that he plans to stay at Bernabeau despite some reports linking him with a move away.
The 23-year-old midfielder joined Arsenal on loan at the beginning of the 2019/20 season and has made over 14 PL appearances for the Gunners.
According to reports, the Gunners have no plans of signing him permanently, which cast doubts over his future.
However, Ceballos insists that he is determined to return to his parent club to have a successful career at the Bernabeau.
“I am happy and I have a contract with Real Madrid,” Ceballos told Deportes Cuatro on Wednesday.
“I am 23 years old, I have not passed the rice. Now I feel much more a player and I am prepared for any challenge that comes my way.”
In January, Ceballos revealed that he was close to returning to Spain.
“Yes, my agent told me about the interest of other teams but I did not play because I was coming back from injury,” Ceballos told El Chiringuito de Jugones.
“I started training and changed my situation. In the last month-and-a-half, I felt important. I knew about Valencia’s interest.”
Ceballos started his career at Betis and helped them win the Segunda Division. The 23-year-old joined Real Madrid in 2017 and has over 35 appearances for them. He was a part of Spain’s U-21 squad that won the UEFA U21 Euros in 2019. Because of his exploits, he received his first national team call-up when Spain played Croatia in the UEFA Nations League. However, Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos is hopeful of success at Bernabeau.
