Watford Looking For Their Third Manager

Watford were promoted to the Premier League this season and they didn’t get off to the greatest of starts. They now see themselves desperately fighting for survival. Ranieri was only given the Watford job a few months ago. However, after losing 10 of his last 13 games in charge, the Watford hierarchy have come to the decision to let him go. It is believed that the Watford board had a meeting straight after the loss to Norwich City. Ranieri only managed to pick up two league wins as Watford manager which were against Manchester United and Everton. Watford will now look for their third manager of the season, having already sacked Xisco Muñoz earlier this season.

Will Watford Survive Relegation?

Watford have only managed to win four games so far this season after playing 20 matches. Only Burnley and Newcastle United have managed less wins. The Hornets are currently 19th in the league, above Burnley. However, Sean Dyche’s side have played two games less than Watford and it’ll only take two points for them to overtake Watford.

The Hornets have a -17 goal difference. Only Newcastle United and Norwich City have a lower goal difference. With all that being taken into account, it looks highly unlikely that Watford will survive relegation this season. They will have to make the perfect appointment if they want to stay up. Their next game will be against relegation rivals, Burnley and it will be a must-win game for both sides as they scrap it out to stay in the Premier League.
