3 Massive Dilemmas Facing England World Cup Squad Selection

#1. Marcus Rashford vs. Eberechi Eze

Rashford is easily the more experienced player and is on the way to resurrecting his career with his loan move to Barcelona from Manchester United. Like Foden, Rashford has been underwhelming for England with 18 goals in 68 international caps.

Eze, meanwhile, has played in 16 matches for England and his versatility allows him to play both in the central midfield and the left flank. He will be vying for the left-winger’s spot with Rashford, with Anthony Gordon also in the reckoning. Tuchel should take any two out of Rashford, Eze and Gordon in the squad.

Should either of Rashford and Eze help their respective clubs win the league title, he should be the favorite to make it to the squad. If Gordon has a below-par season, both Rashford and Eze might be going to the United States.
