Injury and Suspension Updates to Note

With a muscle injury, Mohamed Salah will miss the Brighton clash. However, Liverpool hope he will be back after the international break.

Another high profile player that will be out of action for a few weeks is Chelsea captain Reece James, with a hamstring injury. Teammate Trevoh Chalobah is out too, but with an ankle injury, which should keep him out till early May. Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has been added to the injury list with a groin injury.

Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes is also out with a hamstring injury, but like Salah and James, he is also expected to return to fitness after the international break.

    Must-Have FPL Picks

Manchester City and Arsenal will face each other in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, March 22 leaving them out of contention for FPL section in Gameweek 31. Arsenal and Wolves have already played their rescheduled match in Gameweek 26. City were scheduled to play Crystal Palace, but that game has been postponed due to the Cup final.

It may be tempting to use your Free Hit chip, but maybe hold on to it, as there are double gameweeks to come.

After a draw to Tottenham – which is still shocking – and a triumphant advancement to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, Liverpool players may provide a safe bet in FPL in Gameweek 31.

Virgil van Dijk (£6.3m) and Jeremie  Frimpong (£5.7m) in defence, Ryan Gravenberch (£5.5m) and Alexis Mac Allister (£6.3m) in midfield and Hugo Ekitike (£9.2m) are all good options. On the Seagulls’ side, Jan Paul van Hecke (£4.4m) and Diego Gomez Amarilla (£4.9m) are in good form.

Bournemouth vs Manchester United might be a tough game to call, but Bruno Fernandes (£10.2m), Casemiro (£5.7m) and Benjamin Sesko (£7.4m) have been ever-reliant under Michael Carrick.

Other Fantasy Football Matchweek 31 must-haves include Fulham’s Joachim Anderson (£4.6m) and Harry Wilson (£6.0m), Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon (£7.3m), Chelsea’s Joao Pedro (£7.8m) and Brentford’s Igor Thiago (£7.3m).
