Andoni Iraola should be reasonably concerned to watch his team fail to beat yet another mid-table side at home. Wirtz’s performance should be another worrying thing for him. The fact that Kerkez was probably the best player for Liverpool despite coming on in the second half does not speak highly of the other players in the team.
After the draw in the Liverpool vs Fulham match, the Reds have two more fixtures remaining this month. They will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of the Carabao Cup and then have a tricky visit to Bournemouth lined up, in what will be Iraola’s first match against his former side.
The Reds will take on Manchester City in October, which will be their first stiff test in the Premier League this season. The Liverpool vs Fulham match clearly showed that there was much room for improvement for the Reds.
