Sergio Kun Aguero has scored in each of his last six matches for City at the Etihad Stadium, scoring 10 goals in all competitions. Prior to that, he failed to score in seven consecutive home games.

Leicester forward Jamie Vardy has only scored three Premier League goals against City, all of which came in a single match. Vardy scored a hat-trick in a 4-2 win over City in December 2016.

Manchester City vs Leicester City Preview

Raheem Sterling, who already has 18 goals this season in the Premier League, will look to bounce back after a disappointing display last week against Burnley. That match ended in a 1-1 draw. The Englishman has been a revelation for City this season but he missed a sitter against Burnley in a match they could have easily won.

Leceister City will be wary of City’s attacking threat. They are arguably the best attacking side in the EPL this season. They should look to attack the Foxes for the whole of the 90 minutes with their host of attacking talents.

The Foxes will undoubtedly be the defensive side in this tie. Though they have players who can run through the flanks to catch City on the break, they need to organize themselves quickly at the back to prevent the Citizens from scoring.

Stats

Manchester City has netted at least three goals in each of their last five Premier League home matches. The most they have done is six in December in the 2013-14 season.

Leceister City has both scored and conceded in nine of their last eleven League away games. The remaining two results ended in a draw (0-0) in that run.

Leceister City, after a seven-game unbeaten run on the road (W3 D4), has managed to pick up just a point from their last twelve away matches in the Premier League (W0 D1 L3).

The Citizens remain unbeaten in their last twenty-five home EPL matches (W20 D5); It’s the 14th run of over 25 games in the Premier League history.

City’s head coach, Pep Guardiola will be rooting for victory against Leicester City after they were held to a 1-1 draw last weekend at Turf Moor. Considering each side’s last five matches in the EPL, City have four wins and a draw while the Foxes have three wins, a loss and a draw.

The Foxes may be without their playmaker, Riyad Mahrez who has embarked on a self-imposed strike following his botched move to City in the January transfer window.
