Nottingham Forest are making plans for what could be a really special 2025/26 season, which also marks their return to European football as they will be playing in the UEFA Europa League instead of Crystal Palace!
Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad has already been strengthened with the signings of Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha.
However, it looks like they are on the pursuit of a possible replacement for Anthony Elanga after he left for Newcastle United, as Forest aims to push forward to complete a move for Bologna forward Dan Ndoye.
How Much Will Nottingham Forest Have To Pay For Dan Ndoye Signing From Bologna?
It’s now being reported by Fabrizio Romano that Nottingham Forest are close to completing the signing of Dan Ndoye in the 2025 summer transfer window and that they already have a proposal ready for the Serie A club.
This comes after it’s been claimed that Bologna rejected Forest’s opening offer for the Switzerland forward, but that will not stop the Premier League side from pushing forward with a new bid.
Romano has also stated that Ndoye has already agreed on personal terms with Nottingham Forest and is ready to join them in the summer window.
With that being said, Nottingham Forest can expect to face some stiff competition for Ndoye, who is also attracting interest from the 2024/25 Serie A champions, Napoli, as well.
It’s been reported that Bologna have made it very clear to all interested parties that they will only consider offers in the region of £39 million to £42 million to consider selling their prized forward, which means that Forest needs to match their demands to seal the signing of the 22-year-old.
The Premier League side are eager to find a direct replacement for Elanga after selling him to Newcastle United, while there is also some uncertainty over the future of Morgan-Gibbs White as well.

What Can Dan Ndoye Bring To Nottingham Forest?
Dan Ndoye had a memorable 2024/25 season with Bologna and played a key role in helping them win the Coppa Italia title, marking their first major trophy in the 21st century!
The 24-year-old forward scored nine goals and provided six assists in 41 games for the Italian clubs, also scoring the winning goal for them in the 2024/25 Coppa Italia final against AC Milan as well.
Not just that, but Ndoye also stood out on some impressive attacking metrics for the Italian club in the 2024/25 Serie A campaign as well. Ndoye averaged 2.19 shots, 3.23 progressive passes and 5.55 progressive carries per 90 minutes for his side in the Italian league, tormenting defenders with his dribbling ability and tendency to get the ball into the right areas.
Ndoye’s stats come out as even more impressive when considering how he beats out Callum Hudson-Odoi in these metrics from last season, with the English winger averaging 1.52 shots, 2.91 progressive passes and 5.33 progressive carries in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
To his credit, Ndoye has also proven himself as a versatile asset for his team in recent years. The Swiss forward can play both as a left-winger or right-winger with relative ease, and can also operate as a centre-forward if required!
He has the physical prowess, dribbling ability and clinical final product to excel in the Premier League, and is someone who can easily add more goals to Nottingham Forest’s frontline.
Ndoye, who was praised for his “extraordinary” goal for Switzerland in their 1-0 win over Germany at Euro 2024, can bring that cutting-edge precision to Nottingham Forest’s counter-attacks and help them be a more efficient threat going forward.
