Injury Updates to Note

  • Jarrod Bowen (West Ham): Graham Potter will be glad to have Jarrod Bowen back for team selection this weekend. However, an appearance is unlikely, as Bowen will have just come back from injury. An appearance off the bench for the West Ham star seems likely though.
  • Richarlison (Tottenham): Brazilian forward Richarlison has scored in two consecutive Premier, but was taken off against Leicester City with a groin injury. Richarlison returned to action in Spurs’ 3-0 win against Elfsborg but put on a poor performance. Whether his recent groin injury was the cause is unknown. He has a 75% chance of playing in this weekend’s Premier League action.
  • William Saliba (Arsenal): Despite being a doubt against Wolves, the Frenchman played the full 90′ and even enjoyed a clean sheet, giving FPL managers 9 points. William Saliba is expected to play in Matchweek 24.
  • David Raya (Arsenal): Mikel Arteta’s starting choice between the sticks, David Raya picked up a knock and is unlikely to make an appearance in this weekend’s biggest fixture – Arsenal vs Manchester City.

Top Transfer Targets

  • Phil Foden (Manchester City): Fantasy Football managers should be aware that Phil Foden (£9.3m) is the most in-form FPL player. With goal contributions in City’s last five Premier League games, Foden presents himself as a great choice. Despite the reigning champions facing Arsenal, the Englishman may still grab a handful of points.
  • Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah and Trent Aexander-Arnold (Liverpool): Liverpool have a double gameweek this GW, facing both Bournemouth and Everton. Although Bournemouth in particular are likely to score, so are Cody Gakpo (£7.6m) and Mohamed Salah (£13.7m). Now’s a good Matchweek as any to get three Liverpool players, and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m) has a knack for racking up assists.
  • Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Morgan Rogers (£5.6m) scored a hattrick on the last matchday of the league stage of the UEFA Champions League. Wolves are an easy fixture, and Rogers will arrive at the Moluniex brimming with confidence.
  • Justin Kluviert (Bournemouth): The Cherries may be facing Liverpool on Matchweek 24, however, Justin Kluviert (£5.7m) scored a hattrick against Newcastle, and had a goal and assist against Nottingham Forest – Bournemouth’s last two league fixtures. He is clearly not intimidated by top teams.

Players to Hold/Bench

  • Jarrod Bowen (West Ham): While he may make an appearance off the bench, it may not be worth the risk of putting him in your starting XI.
  • Richarlison (Tottenham): Whether or not Richarlison is fit enough to start or not, Brentford will be a tough fixture for Spurs who are dancing dangerously close to relegation.

Captaincy Picks

  • Mohamed Salah (Liverpool): The Egyptian King continues to be an obvious pick for the FPL captain’s armband. And with Liverpool having a double gameweek, Salah is more than likely to come out on the other side with mouthwatering points.
  • Alexander Isak (Newcastle): If for some reason, you don’t trust Salah – or perhaps it’s his somewhat fluctuating form – Alexander Isak is yet again another strong choice. It’s worth noting that the Swede earned more points than Salah in the previous Matchweek. Newcastle face Fulham for Matchweek 24.
  • Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): This one is self-explanatory – he has more than earned his place here.
