Harry Kane Form: Bayern Munich On Track For UEFA Champions League Title With Another Goal From Their Number Nine

The imperious Harry Kane form continued in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

Kane scored Bayern’s second goal as the Bavarians beat Real Madrid 2-1 at Santiago Bernabeu.

Luis Diaz scored the first goal for the visitors before Kane made it 2-0 not long after half-time.

Kylian Mbappe reduced the deficit for Real in the second half, but Bayern managed to leave the pitch with a vital win.

The astounding Harry Kane form makes him a strong contender for the European Golden Shoe.

More importantly, Bayern’s chances of winning the UEFA Champions League will be the most important thing on the English striker’s mind.

Harry Kane Form: Bayern Munich’s Goalmachine

The Harry Kane form has been superlative ever since he signed for Bayern in 2023.

Bayern’s number nine has scored 49 goals in 41 matches this season, and overall, he has scored a wonderful 134 goals in 137 matches.

Averaging almost a goal every game over the last three seasons, Kane’s goalscoring record is something truly special.

The England captain managed to win his first league title as a player for Bayern last season.

He has come close to winning the Champions League as well, but has not quite been able to make it.

The Harry Kane form gives Bayern a head start ahead of the return leg at the Allianz Arena next week.

Real Madrid are always formidable opponents in Europe’s biggest competition, but Bayern’s advantage from the first leg should prove to be very difficult to overcome, even for Los Blancos.

Bayern will hope that Kane manages to score once again next week to notch up his 50th goal of the season, which will be a brilliant achievement.

However, for the English striker, who will turn 33 in a few months, the real goal will be to win Europe’s premier competition, which has eluded Bayern since 2020.

Harry Kane Form: Bayern In Pole Position For Another Bundesliga Title

Bayern are ahead of Borussia Dortmund by nine points in the Bundesliga table after 28 rounds of matches.

With six rounds of matches remaining, it seems like an unassailable lead at the moment for the Bavarians.

Hence, Bayern can afford to rest Kane in their upcoming Bundesliga fixture this weekend against St. Pauli away from home.

They can do so to keep the Englishman fresh for the pivotal second leg against Real Madrid. Winning or drawing will put them in the semi-finals, where they will either face Paris Saint-Germain or Liverpool.

If Kane is allowed some rest this weekend, he will be able to recharge his batteries and go all guns blazing in the second leg, which is something Bayern will want. It remains to be seen whether Vincent Kompany decides in favour of it.

As of now, the Harry Kane form makes Bayern one of the most feared teams in Europe.

Kompany will hope that the Englishman will keep firing like this in the two remaining months of the season as they chase down the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League titles.

Thomas Tuchel, the English national team manager, will hope that Kane can continue his fantastic goalscoring form and translate it onto the world stage at this summer’s World Cup.
