The Marcus Rashford La Liga title was confirmed, as Barcelona beat Real Madrid 2-0 to win their second successive La Liga title. The Marcus Rashford La Liga title was ensured within the first 18 minutes as Barca scored twice to win their 29th title.

Rashford himself scored his team’s first goal. The 28-year-old English forward, who has not won any Premier League titles with Manchester United, thus won his first domestic league title as a player.

Marcus Rashford La Liga Title Triumph: An Impressive Loan Spell Abroad

The Marcus Rashford La Liga title triumph was a result of his own decent performances throughout the season, as the English forward surpassed the milestone of scoring 150 goals in his senior club career during the campaign.

Rashford, who has scored 138 goals in 426 matches for Manchester United and four more for Aston Villa during a loan spell, scored 14 goals in 47 matches for Barcelona this season.

He primarily played as a left-winger, but also filled in as a centre-forward at times when Robert Lewandowski or Ferran Torres did not play.

Rashford often displayed his opportunism while scoring from fast counterattacks. With top midfielders like Pedri and Fermin alongside him, it was not much of a problem for him to get the supply of balls. He was thus an intrinsic part of a Barcelona team that never failed to entertain.

Rashford fell out of favour with former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, which led to him being loaned to Aston Villa first, and then to Barcelona. With 490 matches played in his club career, the Englishman can certainly be considered one of the senior players in English football.

Rashford Will Look To Continue The Good Form For The English National Team

Rashford will be an important member of the English national team in this summer’s FIFA World Cup. The Marcus Rashford La Liga title triumph almost surely means that he will start on the left flank for the Three Lions in this summer’s tournament in North America.

Rashford will have competition from the likes of Anthony Gordon and Morgan Rogers. Still, his form for Barcelona means that he should be given a preference over those players while England head coach Thomas Tuchel selects the starting XI at the World Cup.

However, as far as returning to Manchester United is concerned, it might not be as straightforward for him. The club might not be willing to take him back, with Matheus Cunha and Patrick Dorgu already there as likely options on the left flank.

It now remains to be seen whether Barca decide to make Rashford’s contract with them permanent. Lewandowski is set to leave this summer, and hence, Barca will need someone to replace him permanently in their forward line.

The Marcus Rashford La Liga title triumph might encourage the Catalan giants to buy him. As of now, he remains the second Englishman to make his mark playing for Barca after Gary Lineker.

Rashford should still have a few years left at the top, and hence, a permanent move to Barcelona will help his cause. Winning more trophies for the Catalans will certainly give his career an impetus that was missing at Manchester United.
