Hot or Not Picks for Fantasy Premier League – Week Two Preview
The Premier League is up running with some surprise selections paying off in fantasy football. The likes of Wan Bissaka, Callum Wilson and Patrick van Aanholt all scoring high points on the opening weekend. But who are the hot or not picks for Fantasy Premier League – week two.
Hot Picks
Dele Alli – £9.0m
Despite an average campaign last season, the Englishman kicked off his tally with a goal against Newcastle at the weekend. With Harry Kane still battling with his fitness, the main attacking threat for Spurs this weekend will come from the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.
James Maddison – £6.5m
The new signing for Leicester had a difficult opening fixture. However, Maddison dealt with the pressure of playing against Manchester United and had the best opportunity for The Foxes. The 22-year-old will come up against Wolves who have already had a few scares at the back and Maddison could look to exploit their weakness.
Seamus Coleman – £5.0m
Coleman is just coming back from a lengthy injury but played 90 minutes at the weekend. The Irishman is always known for his attacking power and will provide quality crosses when needed. The Toffees are playing Southampton this weekend who had a good point after keeping out Burnley, but the quality of Everton’s squad might prove too much for the Saints defence.
Not Picks
Kevin De Bruyne – £10.0m
If you haven’t heard it in the mainstream media then where have you been hiding? De Bruyne is reportedly out for 2 months. The Belgian is one of the most picked midfielders in the game and could become difficult for managers to replace him. Just make sure you take him out.
Sokratis – £5.5m
One of Arsenal’s new recruits over the summer. The Greek international had a tough start against Sergio Aguero’s Man City and now it seems it’s going to be even harder. Arsenal play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and this could be challenging for the Gunners defence. Maurizio Sarri’s energetic and attacking style does not seem to favour Sokratis.
Patrick van Aanholt – £5.5m
The Crystal Palace defender was one of the best performers last week, getting an assist for Schlupp’s goal. But it seems they could be about to leak goals at the back as the London side face Liverpool. Mo Salah will definitely keep the Dutchman pushed back and his attacking threat might be unseen this game.
