Barcelona’s Current Scenario Looks Bleak

FC Barcelona are positioned 8th in La Liga 2021/22 with 16 games played. This is historically one of their worst seasons. The last time they finished in a worse position was back in the 1941/42 season where they finished 12th in the league. There have been only three occasions in the club’s history where they finished in a worse position- 1933/34, 1939/40 and 1941/42. They are out of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League after finishing third in the group stage. Demoted to the UEFA Europa League, a competition they will be playing for the first time since the 2003/04 season. Barcelona are on course of having one of their absolute appalling seasons in the club’s history. Owing to their glorious recent past, this is likely FC Barcelona’s worst phase- performance wise and structurally.
