Former Spurs defender Caulker joins Scottish Side

The transfer window ended over a month ago, but that has not stopped players from moving clubs. Clubs at the lower end of the football spectrum are still searching for their star signing to keep them in the league or a lift to promotion, players such as Steve Caulker

Steve Caulker joins Dundee

Former Tottenham Hotspur and QPR defender Caulker has joined Scottish Premiership side Dundee. The 26 year-old sealed a deal by phone to manager Neil McCann, signing an 18 month deal earlier this month.

The England International left QPR by mutual consent in December, and revealed last year he was struggling with depression, gambling and alcohol addiction.

This will hopefully kick start Caulker’s career again. After spells at Southampton, Tottenham and QPR, his performances were inconsistent. The defender has already started his Dundee career in a positive manner, scoring on his debut in a 3-2 win over Kilmarnock.

Non League star makes West Ham move

Oladapo Afolayan has made a dream move to Premier League side West Ham from National League Solihull Moors.

The forward was playing for Loughborough University early last year before making the move to non league Solihull Moors. The 20 year-old impressed after his move, scoring 11 times in 30 appearances.

This is not the first time Afolayan has been at a Premier League club. At 15, he was in the Chelsea academy, before a family move to Canada led to joining Toronto FC.

He has signed on a three-and-half year deal, and has played two matches for the West Ham under 23s. Only time will tell if he is to follow in the footsteps of Jamie Vardy in making a successful move from non-league to the Premier League.

Drogba joins French side

No the star striker has not moved back to his old club. But instead Didier Drogba’s son has joined Guingamp.

Isaac, who is only 17, was previously at the Chelsea academy. However, like many youngsters before him, didn’t produce the form to warrant a contract.

The move comes 16 years after his father joined the Ligue 1, where he scored 20 league goals in only 45 games.

Drogba, now 37, is currently playing in America for Phoenix Rising, a club in which he owns shares.
