How Renato Sanches Could Be Premier League Bound This Summer

24 year old Renato Sanches is looking for a move away from current club LOSC Lille. He’s registered one goal and three assists in the current campaign and is yet to reach the levels that were expected of him since his move to Bayern Munich in 2016. Sanches is currently valued at £27 million as per TransferMarkt, and this number could rise up dramatically if we see him perform well at a higher level – could we see Renato thrive at a Premier League side?

How Renato Sanches Could Be Premier League Bound

Sanches to Arsenal

Whilst he made a name for himself at boyhood club Benfica, Renato Sanches has endured some very quiet spells at the likes of Swansea City and Bayern Munich in a fluctuating career. He is currently looking for his next challenge, however, and The Emirates could be the place where things start to rekindle for the powerhouse midfielder.

Known for his signature dreadlocks, Sanches came onto the scene at the European Championships in 2016, where he helped his team secure first place and also bagged a goal in the process. He plays naturally in the number eight role and has shown stints of brilliance whilst playing for current club LOSC Lille.

With this being said, Arsenal’s midfield problems have recently been exposed due to departures to the AFCON, so it would be a wise investment to bring in another young midfielder who is both technically and physically brilliant.

With The Gunners not investing any money in the January window, alongside letting more first-team players leave (including star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang), it may provoke the Arsenal board to invest heavily in the summer if they want to compete with other teams in the race for a Champions League finish.

Would it be wise for Renato Sanches to make a return to the Premier League, or would it just be a repeat of his days at Swansea?
