Kylian Mbappe’s form for Real Madrid is unreal at the moment. The 27-year-old forward is making his presence felt in a big way for Los Blancos.
However, as Real Madrid’s recent loss to Benfica in the UEFA Champions League pointed out, the rest of his team is not quite able to match his greatness.
Kylian Mbappe’s form has seen him score 36 goals in 29 matches for Real Madrid this season, and he is well on his way towards reaching the coveted milestone of 50 goals this term.
Kylian Mbappe’s Form: Frenchman On His Way To Retaining La Liga Top Goalscorer Crown
Kylian Mbappe’s form has seen him pave his way to retaining his La Liga top goalscorer crown for another season.
He has scored 21 goals in 20 La Liga matches already, which is a great record, and it will be really difficult for anyone to stop him from winning the Pichichi trophy.
He has also scored a record 12 goals in the UEFA Champions League, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo’s previous record of 11, but these records differ due to the changes in the competition.
Mbappe has been primarily playing as the centre-forward since he joined Real Madrid in 2024.
With players like Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior alongside him, the Frenchman has tormented many defences in Spain and Europe.
He has scored 80 goals in 88 matches for Los Blancos, which is a really splendid record.
However, adding to his goalscoring exploits, the Frenchman would ideally like to win a trophy or two in his second season with the club.
Real Madrid also have a great back-up striker in Gonzalo Garcia, who has been really good during the time Mbappe was injured.
However, Alvaro Arbeloa, the Real Madrid manager, should know too well that he needs Mbappe to be firing if Los Blancos are to win titles.

Real Madrid To Face Off Against Benfica In The UEFA Champions League Play-Off
Los Blancos will lock horns with Jose Mourinho’s Benfica in the UEFA Champions League play-offs for a place in the Round of 16.
Benfica beat Real Madrid in the group stage just a matter of days ago, and will have the chance to inflict more damage on the “Kings of Europe”.
Real Madrid have won the biggest prize in European football a record 15 times and are the huge favourites to go all the way in the competition.
Kylian Mbappe’s form will definitely bring a strong belief that he can help the club win the title one more time this year.
The Frenchman’s current form makes him simply one of the greatest players in the world.
He has been shining the brightest in a star-studded side at Real Madrid, which goes on to show his obvious quality.
However, in order to etch his name firmly in football history, Mbappe needs to win a few more big trophies.
He is already a World Cup winner with France and has won the Ligue 1 title multiple times with Paris Saint-Germain.
With that being said, football history can be cruel in judging the absolute greats in the game, and any shortcoming in this regard can peg a player back.
However, as of now, Kylian Mbappe’s form should not worry him as he has time on his side until history judges him.
He has a long way to go before hanging up his football boots and will surely achieve more success in his career. If Kylian Mbappe’s form continues, it should not be beyond him to win the Ballon d’Or this year.
