The Luis Diaz form for Bayern Munich has been splendid this season. The 29-year-old Colombian left-winger scored once in Bayern Munich’s 4-3 win over Real Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in Munich last night.
Bayern won 6-4 on aggregate to move to the semi-finals, and the Luis Diaz form has been instrumental in Bayern’s run in both the Champions League and the Bundesliga this season.
The Colombian has really made his mark in his debut season in Germany and promises more for the future.
Luis Diaz Form: The Colombian Has Made The Left-Winger Position His
The Luis Diaz form means that he keeps starting for Bayern on the left flank.
The Bavarians have Serge Gnabry in their line-up, who can also play on the left, but the Luis Diaz form has automatically made him the first-choice for the position.
As of now, Diaz has 24 goals and 15 assists in 42 matches for the Bavarians, and only Michael Olise, Bruno Fernandes and Lamine Yamal have more assists in European football this season, close to averaging a goal or an assist every match.
With Harry Kane and Michael Olise also having a great time, the Bayern Munich front-three has been pretty much unstoppable this season.
Bayern’s form is in stark contrast with that of Liverpool, Diaz’s former club. The Reds have struggled to have a proper option on the left this season, with the likes of Cody Gakpo and Florian Wirtz being largely unimpressive in that position. In hindsight, it evidently seems that Liverpool committed a mistake by letting Diaz leave.
However, that should be none of Diaz’s concerns at the moment. He should focus on winning titles with his new club. Bayern are very close to winning the Bundesliga title already, and should they win it, it will mean back-to-back league titles for Diaz, who won the Premier League with Liverpool last season.
Still, the crowning glory will be the Champions League title that has eluded the Bavarians since 2020. Bayern will take on the defending champions, Paris Saint-Germain, in the semi-final, and it is likely to be as tough a test as it gets.

Luis Diaz Form: Gargantuan Semi-Final Clash Against PSG
Bayern’s last-four clash with PSG will be a titanic battle. It will be a clash between two of the best teams in Europe. Beating PSG, who beat Liverpool 4-0 on aggregate in the quarter-finals, will not be an easy task.
The Luis Diaz form should help Bayern in meeting that objective. A lot of people might argue that it is going to be the key factor in this match-up. The Colombian’s pace and ability to finish as well as combine with Kane are going to be crucial components in Bayern’s game.
Vincent Kompany will pin a lot of his hopes on Diaz, who has proved to be a great acquisition so far. However, as the ultimate test beckons, the Colombian, alongside his fellow forwards in the front-three, should be keen to prove a point. Winning the Champions League should be a fitting reward for the hard work Diaz has put in for his new club so far.
