Manchester United to Replace Wan-Bissaka?

Man United may sign an exciting prospect. Man United are signing many players to hopefully help them finally win the Premier League title. This exciting prospect Man United may sign is Youcef Atal, who is an Algerian football player currently playing for OGC Nice. Signing Atal can hopefully help United win titles.

How Atal Could Contribute to Man United

The 24-year old will mainly play as a right-back, but can also play as a winger. Atal is skilful, young, and ambidexter, which clearly shows how gifted this player is.

Atal is a perfect choice to sign for all of these reasons. However, mainly, Atal may replace or cover for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, because the Englishman has struggled to maintain form and fatigue.

The Algerian is young and still has not reached his full potential. If United were to sign him, he can yield sweet results for the team.

Youcef Atal

Like said before, Youcef Atal is a right-back who can also play as a winger, which shows how versatile and useful Atal can bring to the club. The 24-year old also plays on the Algeria national team.

Atal has made 18 appearances on the national team and contributed to winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019.

Atal’s achievements do not end there. Atal averages 10.7 dribbles per game, which is significantly higher than his potential right-back alternates, Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams and Luke Shaw.

Not only does Atal have a higher dribbling average than United’s defenders, but also Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood. In fact, the Algerian’s dribbling is even higher than Jadon Sancho himself, the player Man United is working so hard to sign. The 24-year old additionally beats Sancho in having a higher average of crosses per game.

The Algerian international has been groomed to being a valuable player to any team. The guidance of Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira at Nice has pushed Atal to become one of the best players in the French league.

Will Atal Join Man United?

Youcef Atal has clearly proven himself to be one of the most promising youngsters in Europe. Chelsea, Tottenham, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Napoli prove this by also showing interest in Atal. While Atal is valued at €20m, Chelsea considers him at €35m.

Sadly, Nice consistently says that Atal is here to stay. Sporting director Julien Fournier told Nice-Martin, “No. We are not a supermarket. We do not put products in the window for people to use. We will do the season together,”

Additionally, Atal has shown zero interest in leaving Nice. “When you hear them [the rumours], it’s nice because it’s the reward for your work. If the big clubs are watching you, that means you’re there. You exist,” Atal told L’Equipe.

“But I was focused on recovering from my injury and I am only thinking of having a good season here…Already, I haven’t had a full second season and I have to do one with the Europa League, my first European Cup. I feel good here.”

While Atal still says that he has no interest in leaving, it is still possible for him to join a different team.
