The Michal Skoras transfer sees the versatile Polishman, who primarily operates as a wing-back or wide midfielder, make the move to France with RC Lens.
After a superb individual season with K.A.A Gent, where he picked up two goals and seven assists, the Michal Skoras transfer sees him follow in the footsteps of fellow Pole wing-back Przemyslaw Frankowski, who played for the Blood and Gold between August 2021 and February 2025.
Skoras, known for his pace and ability to take players on, will have drawn similarities to his fellow countryman, but at only 26, the Polish wide-man has the chance to shine in Ligue 1 and guide RC Lens closer to the top of the table.

The 2025/26 Ligue 1 vice-champions are known for utilising Polish talent in their squad, notably the aforementioned Frankowski, striker Adam Buksa and legendary defender Jacek Bak in the past.
However, the Michal Skoras transfer opens up a new chapter for Polish players in Ligue 1, with plenty of big Polish stars spending some time in the French top flight.
For Skoras, it will be a huge season full of big expectations coming up. The 26-year-old has always shown glimpses of quality for Poland and in the Belgian Pro League; however, he was never given the chance to fulfil his potential in a big league.
With plenty of competition in the wide area, the task won’t be easy for Skoras to break through into the starting XI straight away, and he will need to prove that he is up to playing in the big leagues.
His quality and talent are definitely something that will make him stand out amongst the competition; however, with players ahead of him having that much-needed top-flight experience, the quality and talent may not be enough for him to shine through at the start.
Michal Skoras Transfer: The Versatility
Similarly to Frankowski before him, RC Lens can use Skoras’ versatility, with the 26-year-old able to play on either flank and also drop deep to play as a wing-back.
Utilised more as a left or right midfielder last season, Skoras averaged a rating over 7.28 across the Belgian Pro League season, ranking him in the top 25 for average rating.
What makes him such a threat is that he can mix his attacking qualities with his tremendous defensive capabilities, making the Michal Skoras transfer a great piece of business for RC Lens.
However, if new manager Dino Toppmöller utilises his usual three-at-the-back system, Skoras will have to compete with the vastly experienced Matthieu Udol, last season’s Ligue 1 full-back assisting machine.
With that being said, Skoras’ relative youth compared to Udol’s ageing legs will help him a lot in the battle for a starting role, and with that battle uncertain, his ability to play on the right side will make him a useful player to have in the squad.

Playing in the Belgian and Polish top flights is always something to be grateful for and happy about, but for a player of Skoras’ talent, it would be a waste not to see him perform at a higher level.
In the last season, Skoras amassed close to 3,000 minutes and has played over 120 times for Belgian outfits over his three-year stay with Club Brugge and K.A.A Gent.
After a breakthrough season in 2022/23 with Lech Poznan, where he amassed 16 goals and four assists in 53 appearances in all competitions, he secured his move to Belgium.
With a chance now for him to shine in France, will the Michal Skoras transfer bear the fruits as it did for Przemyslaw Frankowski at RC Lens, or will the heat of a tougher league be too much for the 26-year-old?
