With Burnley already relegated from the Premier League, the next Burnley manager will have a lot on his hands after Scott Parker left the club by mutual consent.
The ex-West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder oversaw promotion back into the top-flight from the Championship in 2024/25, but failed to keep the Clarets up, as they have become a so-called ‘yo-yo club’ bouncing between the top two English divisions.
With Parker out of the door, Mike Jackson has taken interim charge of the club until the end of the season, but there are already large murmurs of who the next Burnley manager may be.
Next Burnley Manager: Craig Bellamy Tipped To Take Charge Of The Clarets
From the get-go, the current Wales national team head coach has been tipped to become the next Burnley manager ahead of their next adventure in the Championship.
With that being said, it will be tough to sway the current Wales boss into the job, even though he knows the club already, after being a coach under former manager Vincent Kompany.
The ex-Manchester City, Liverpool and West Ham winger may know about the club from his past at the Clarets, but swaying him away from the prospect of taking Wales to a home European Championships in 2028 may prove to be the stumbling block.
In addition to that, will Burnley be willing to take the risk on a relatively inexperienced manager, with Bellamy currently in his first-ever managerial position?
Burnley may see Bellamy as a good fit for the club, but his lack of managing experience and with him already being in a managerial role, makes him becoming the next Burnley manager quite unlikely.

Next Burnley Manager: Steven Gerrard And Others Have Also Been Shortlisted
The likes of ex-Rangers boss Steven Gerrard and current Cardiff City manager Brian Barry-Murphy have also been shortlisted for the job as the next Burnley manager.
Gerrard, who has been out of management since 2025, has turned to punditry and had a chance to return to management with Rangers, but turned that opportunity down.
The ex-Liverpool captain has never managed a club in the Championship, which would once again prove a new battle; however, a battle like this may be a good one for the 45-year-old.
For Gerrard, after his success with Rangers and his two disappointing managerial spells with Aston Vill and Al-Ettifaq, a club like Burnley could bounce his career back into gear.
With good finances, a good squad and a club that is bouncing between the Premier League and the Championship, this challenge would be something Gerrard has never experienced before.
Like mentioned above, Cardiff City manager Barry-Murphy has also been shortlisted for the job after taking the Welsh side up from League One into the Championship.
The former Bury defensive midfielder was appointed as the Bluebirds’ manager ahead of the 2025/26 season, and on the first time of asking, won them promotion into the second tier.
Barry-Murphy, alongside Bellamy, is contracted and will need a lot to be swayed away, as the project that he is building at Cardiff City looks like a long-term project.
Next Burnley Manager: Relegation To The Championship Incoming
With four games left in the Premier League, Burnley were confirmed as relegated a long time ago alongside Wolverhampton Wanderers.
This season, like most seasons when the Clarets go up to the Premier League, they have failed to stop up and once again doomed to a season in the Championship.
However, with how the last five seasons have unfolded, do not discount them from coming back up once they have discovered the next Burnley manager.
With Scott Parker’s departure, a new manager is needed and someone that can gain them stability and a manager that can keep them up in the Premier League once more.
