Real Madrid are rumoured be confident of reaching an agreement to sign goal-machine Erling Haaland in the next summer window, according to Spanish outlet Diario Madirista.
Los Blancos might have been a silent observer in the summer transfer window, however they are planning for a more fruitful period in the summer of 2022.
They failed to land their primary target Kylian Mbappe this summer however a year’s wait will provide them with the opportunity to sign him without spending a single penny as the Frenchman will be available for free. Along with that, if they can secure Haaland they will have a strike force to put fear into any defence.

Despite being only 21-years-old, Haaland has become the most wanted striker across Europe. He made his professional debut for Norwegian club Bryne and climbed his way up to renowned clubs.
His move to RB Salzburg in 2019 started the extraordinary events occurring right now. He became a goal-scoring machine there and in one-and-a-half years scored 29 goals in 27 games leading to his stock rising quickly.
Ultimately it was German club, Borussia Dortmund that won the race when they signed him for €20 million. He was expected to struggle getting used to more competitive football but it turned out quite the opposite. He began his new chapter guns blazing and has not slowed down since.
Currently in the third season of his Dortmund journey, he has been scoring goals in such a way that the ratio is almost one to one. In 64 appearances he has scored 63 goals for the club. Moreover, he also won the Champions League player of the 2020/21 season.
This season he has already scored 6 goals in 5 games. Despite this superb form, the Norwegian said this after his most recent match for Norway where he scored a hat trick;
“I personally think that I should have had more goals.”
Real Madrid Will Have To Battle Many Clubs To Confirm The Deal
Although it is reported that Real Madrid are hugely confident of getting a deal done it is never over until it is officially revealed especially when there are so many clubs vying for his signature.
The player has a clause connected to his contract that will make him available for just €75 million in the coming year making his signing even more appealing with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona being just a few of the likely clubs challenging for his signature.
Manchester City did make a marquee signing by breaking the British transfer record bringing in Jack Grealish from Aston Villa but missed out on a much-needed striker with Harry Kane staying at Tottenham Hotspur. Pep Guardiola has been playing a team mostly with a false nine with their only main striker available is being Gabriel Jesus.
Manchester United on the other hand has an advantage of its own with the main one being Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who introduced him to professional football. Jadon Sancho with whom Haaland had a special chemistry at Dortmund is now at United and many players would be tempted by the prospect of playing with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Haaland has expressed his love for the five-time Balon d’Or winner prior to joining Dortmund and the chance to play alongside one of the best in the world does not come by often. Along with these advantages, United have made him their primary target for the next summer.
For all of Real Madrid’s rumoured confidence they will not find it easy when it comes to trying to sign Haaland and it will be a battle Dortmund will look to stave off.
