Sheffield United has been relegated for a long time now. We have seen it happen a lot in recent times and it seems to become more and more often that the newly promoted teams simply cannot keep up with the Premier League level. However, the Sheffield United case is an extreme one. Despite losing out on the top four, Spurs now could even be passed by Chelsea, although a single point on Sunday will suffice to close the season in fifth place.

Tuesday’s game saw a large portion of Spurs fans were not too eager to win, prioritizing Arsenal’s demise over their chances of securing a top four finish. There was a lot of talk about this in the build-up, but after the game, it was clear the whole situation had a negative impact on Ange Postecoglou. The Greek-Australian manager expressed his disappointment and anger towards a culture he did not agree with both inside and outside the club. It was a clear message for the fans, but it also seems to target either a portion of the players or the club’s management.
