Three Spanish Players Who Could Make a Big Transfer

Spain recently won their fourth European title by beating England 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final. The Spaniards won each of their seven matches in the tournament, thereby attaining glory in a quite deserving manner.
The entire Spanish team played really well in the tournament and a number of their players were nothing short of outstanding. Rodri won the Player of the Tournament award, but there were a few others in their team who were also worthy. In this article, we will take a look at three Spanish players who could make a move to a bigger club next season as a result of their impressive performances this summer.

Fabián Ruiz

Ruiz was Rodri’s partner in Spain’s midfield and many thought that he should have won the Player of the Tournament award ahead of the Manchester City man. Ruiz scored a goal in Spain’s 3-0 win over Croatia in their opening match and then again in their 4-1 win over Georgia in the Round of 16.
Ruiz impressed with his ability to make marauding runs forward and also take shots from the edge of the opposition penalty box. He also made a difference with his neat, yet incisive, passing.
The 28-year-old plays for Paris Saint-Germain at the moment, but has already been linked to Manchester City. Should he get an opportunity to partner Rodri for the Cityzens, too, it will be nothing short of a nightmare for the other clubs in the Premier League.

Dani Olmo

Olmo got an opportunity to play only after Pedri’s injury against Germany, but he made the most of his chance in the tournament. Olmo scored three goals in the tournament and also featured in the Team of the Tournament.
The RB Leipzig star played in a slightly more advanced role than Pedri would have, which forced Spain to a switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation from a 4-3-3. However, it was beneficial for La Roja, as Olmo remained a constant threat in the opposition half. The 26-year-old  is reported to be on the radar of Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester City and could very well find himself moving to a different country next season.

Nico Williams

No offensive player at Euro 2024 was as impressive as Williams throughout the tournament. Another genuine contender for the Player of the Tournament award, Williams left his mark by scoring two goals, including one in the final, and troubling almost every opposition with his speedy runs through the inside-left channel.
Williams is a great dribbler and also has a very powerful shot on him. Hence, it is quite understandable that a lot of clubs will be eager to sign him from Athletic Bilbao, his current club. Barcelona have already expressed their interest. Going to the Catalan club would allow Williams to play alongside fellow Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also reportedly interested in getting him and might join the race to sign him. It remains to be seen whether Bilbao are able to retain the services of Williams for the next season. The chances of that happening seem to be quite low at the moment, given Williams’ fantastic form.
