A Quick Start From Barcelona
Mauricio Pochettino would have set his team to defend one of the best attacks in the world but would have been disappointed with a goal inside two minutes after Hugo Lloris’ blunder. Lionel Messi collected the ball in the centre circle and put in a wonderful through ball. The French keeper came out but was in no-mans-land as Coutinho had an open goal to give Barcelona the lead. Then it was not long again as Rakitic unleashed a rocket from 35 yards out. Coutinho missed hit shot found it way to the Croatian midfielder who hit it on the half volley with Hugo Lloris having no chance of keeping that out.
Harry Winks’ Second Half Performance
The 22-year-old has just returned from an lengthy injury which ended his chance of making the England World Cup squad. Winks struggled in the first half against one of the best clubs in the world and failed to get in the first 45 minutes. However, the second half was completely different as the midfielder became Spurs’ best player. Winks provided the attacking force whilst providing a defensive stability, as one of their own nicked the ball of Lionel Messi and took the ball straight forward.
