Where could Gareth Bale go this summer?

Falling outs are pretty popular in football, especially in the biggest clubs around the world, but this concerns the one Gareth Bale. With over a 100 goals scored and 4 champions league titles won, his recent exclusion from the champions league squad for an important game against Manchester City is baffling given his quality but not too surprising, given his issues with the club. It’s highly probable that his days are numbered at the club. With that said, where could Gareth Bale go this summer?

Here are some possible clubs for Gareth Bale to join this summer-

1) Manchester United

It’s probably the most unsurprising inclusion on the list, as Manchester United’s longstanding interest in Gareth Bale dates back to his time at Southampton where Gareth Bale was plying his trade as a teenager. While that move never came fruition, their interest in him has been a mainstay since then. With Manchester United looking desperate for a Right-Winger this summer, this move could very well materialize. If it did, his move to the Manchester side should help in adding depth to the squad and would further provide a breath of fresh air for a player who’s not been the same for a while now.

2) Paris Saint Germain

PSG’s dominance in the market is very representational of their spending power and they have made everyone wary of their presence in the transfer market in recent with the Parisians quickly building up a reputation for making experienced and expensive acquisitions, with the French giants signing the likes of Neymar, Dani Alves, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Beckham and many more, in their short history at the top. PSG’s interest in Gareth Bale is nothing new as tried signing him last summer. With the massive riches at their disposal and their ability to lure talent through the glamour of Paris, this move could happen very soon.

3) Shanghai Shenhua

The obscure club on this list should be of that of Shanghai Shenhua who tried luring the former Spurs player into signing with them. Gareth Bale was linked to Shanghai Shenhua for the better part of last summer, With some sources reporting that the deal was as good as done. the Welsh international was tempted by the prospect of leaving his mark on a league that could turn into something big in the future, like the time when David Beckham decided to play in a relatively unknown MLS. Given his age, he would be forgiven for not turning down such a lucrative deal. While it’s true that deal fell through the first time around, but if the recent Chinese Super League history is anything to go by, this deal could be as good as done.

4) Tottenham Hotspur

While his move to Manchester United was long touted, but so was his move to Spurs, a club where Gareth Bale is still loved. His return to the North London club could be seen as a temptation for Jose Mourinho, given his preference for an experienced set of players over young and upcoming talent. His deadly combination of speed and technique, further combined with his finishing ability should slot him into the counter-attacking system under Mourinho.
There will be no short of interest for Gareth Bale this summer, with clubs across the world enquiring about his availability with each passing year. Given his horrendous last couple of years at the Bernabeau, this summer could be the end for the Welshman in those famous colors.
