Semenyo is fast and can be deadly on counterattacks. In the absence of Jeremy Doku and Savinho, Semenyo has really gelled well with the rest of his colleagues at Manchester City. His speed and clinical approach make him a great player to have, especially against lesser team, who typically struggle to contain him.
Semenyo also has the ability to play on both flanks, and as he demonstrated in the 2-1 win against Liverpool last weekend, he is also comfortable playing in a more central position. He consistently makes forward runs, with or without the ball, which always gives his team an advantage in terms of launching their attacks.

An Important Signing

Haaland scored in his second successive match, but Semenyo has managed to score more goals from open play than the Norwegian since he joined Manchester City. The Cityzens will have to keep battling on and winning matches to keep the pressure on the Gunners. They are well capable of doing so, with Semenyo coming to the fore. All their new signings, including Gianluigi Donnarumma, Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders, have been doing really well and Semenyo has been no exception to that rule.
However, Guardiola will have to use him judiciously and should not play him against every opposition. With Doku and Savinho likely to make comebacks from injuries pretty soon, the workload might reduce for Semenyo in the near future. One can only hope that he keeps performing in the same manner.
