Bayern Munich Front-Three: The Bavarians’ Fantastic Trio Continuing Their Incredible Form

The Bayern Munich front-three is on fire at the moment.

Two of the Bayern Munich front-three, Harry Kane and Luis Diaz, scored in the 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday.

Bayern thus gained a significant advantage going into the second leg at home next week, and not to mention that they are in a very strong position to win the Bundesliga.

The current Bayern Munich front-three reminds one of the trio they had back during their treble win in 2013, when Franck Ribery, Mario Mandzukic and Arjen Robben were in their pomp at that time for the German giants.

Bayern Munich Front-Three: One Of The Best Trios In Europe This Season

Michael Olise and Luis Diaz have 39 goals between them already this season, and Kane has scored 49 goals in 41 matches, thereby marking a great time for himself.

In addition to that, Olise and Diaz have a combined assists tally of 40 this season, thereby making it very difficult for the opposition teams to mark them.

Thus, the Bayern Munich front-three has contributed a total of 88 goals and 45 assists this season.

That is a very impressive tally and goes on to show their worth for the team. In the 2012-13 season, the Bayern Munich front-three of Robben, Ribery and Mandzukic totalled 46 goals between them, with Mario Gomez also scoring seven goals as a fourth player in the Bayern set-up that season.

The current Bayern Munich front-three has eclipsed the trio the club had in the 2012-13 treble-winning season, at least in terms of the raw numbers.

In fact, the otherworldly tally of 122 combined goals reached by the trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in the 2014-15 season for Barcelona does not seem that far off for the current Bayern trio.

They might still fall short of that number, but they should comfortably surpass the magic number of 100 goals by the end of the season.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale frequently reached near the landmark of 100 goals in a season between them at Real Madrid.

No other attacking trio in the history of the game has reached the heights of the Barcelona and Real Madrid ones during the past decade. Hence, one can understand that the current Bayern front-three are in the company of the very best in history, and the season is not finished yet.

Bayern Munich Front-Three: The Dream Of A Treble

With such a wonderful attacking line-up, Bayern will hope for no less than winning the treble this season.

Beating Real Madrid and reaching the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League will automatically make them a favourite to win their seventh title.

However, none of Kane, Olise and Diaz would like to return empty-handed after coming this far in the competition.

Hence, the motivation should be paramount for them to achieve big things this season at the club.

They have already come a long way towards achieving that goal for the Bavarian club; now, the end should be just as sweet as the finishing line is within touching distance, and another trophy haul is on the cards.
