The Nathaniel Brown World Cup debut for Germany was a resounding one against Curacao, as Germany won the match 7-1 to start their World Cup campaign in some style.
The Nathaniel Brown World Cup debut was memorable not only for his team but for the player’s performance as well.
Another World Cup debutant, Felix Nmecha, also had a good match for Die Mannschaft, utilising his attacking prowess from midfield as Julian Nagelsmann’s team started with a bang.
Nathaniel Brown World Cup Debut: Fantastic First Game For The Left-Back
Brown started as Germany’s left-back, with David Raum starting on the bench and making a late entry as a substitute.
The 22-year-old earned what was only his sixth cap for his country and scored a goal and registered an assist in a 7-1 thrashing in Germany’s opener
Brown was utilised as the attacking left wing-back as Germany switched to a 3-2-4-1 formation from a 4-2-3-1 while in possession, with Joshua Kimmich, the right-back in their original formation, preferring to stay back along with the two central defenders to make it a three-man defence.
The Eintracht Frankfurt defender combined repeatedly with Florian Wirtz on the left flank to trouble the Curacao defence on numerous occasions.
The Curacao defence had great difficulties in containing Germany’s one-touch football and quick passing, and Brown only made their job more difficult.
The Nathaniel Brown World Cup debut was made memorable by his perfect delivery from a corner that brought about Germany’s second goal via a Nico Schlotterbeck header.
The full-back then scored his team’s fifth goal, once again from an advanced position, to complete a brilliant performance.
Germany scored an abundance of goals, with both Kai Havertz and Deniz Undav being on target as Die Mannschaft attackers looked sharp and in the groove.
Raum came on in the second half for Brown, as Nagelsmann decided to give him some rest; however, the Nathaniel Brown World Cup debut was something the full-back can be proud of.

Nathaniel Brown World Cup Debut: The Bayern Munich Move
The 22-year-old is an Eintracht Frankfurt player and has scored seven goals in 72 matches for the club during the last two seasons.
More importantly, Brown has also registered 14 assists for his club during the said period, which is a very good number for a full-back and goes on to show his passing and crossing ability.
Bayern Munich, the biggest club in Germany, are reportedly confirmed to sign Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Bavarians will need Brown to be an understudy to Alphonso Davies, whose contract with the club runs until 2030.
However, if one goes by the Nathaniel Brown World Cup debut against Curacao, he can easily become the first-choice left-back for the Bavarians. Brown’s relentless ability to attack and combine with the left-winger makes him a dangerous proposition.
Germany has suffered from a lack of a quality full-back since the retirement of Philip Lahm. Raum has been decent for them, but nothing spectacular, and therefore, the hopes are that Brown will become the full-back the Germans have been seeking for some time.
However, as of now, Brown’s job is to help his team perform better in the World Cup.
The Germans will play against two tricky opponents, Ivory Coast and Ecuador, in their remaining two group fixtures, and it should not be easy for them.
One hopes that the Nathaniel Brown World Cup debut will help him gain confidence ahead of those two matches in the group stage and help Germany advance to the knockout stages.
