Arsenal discovered a tricky set of opening fixtures for the 2025/26 season, with the Gunners set to face Manchester United in their first game of the campaign.
They are on the lookout for improving their squad for the next campaign and have now discovered the kind of price they’ll have to sign for the transfer of RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, who impressed in the Bundesliga last season.
How Much Must Arsenal Pay For Sesko Signing?
Arsenal were also rumoured to have held initial talks with the Bundesliga side over the possibility of signing the young Slovenian forward in the summer window.
It’s now being reported by Sky Sports that the German side have notified the terms that they’re ready to accept to sign Sesko in the summer window.
The outlet claims that RB Leipzig want a transfer fee which will be somewhere between £68.4 million to £85.5 million in order to think about the possible sale of their prized forward.
It’s added that the Bundesliga side are using the valuation of players like Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak to set the valuation for Sesko.
The 21-year-old forward is attracted to the prospect of joining Arsenal in the summer, claims the outlet, but he will not be forcing a move away from RB Leipzig despite being flattered by the Gunners’ long-standing interest in him.
Mikel Arteta’s side are also being linked to a possible move for Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres and have also been reported to have met with his agent to discuss a deal.
They retain an interest in Sesko, but the major financial demands could be a potential thorn in their attempts to sign him.

How Can Benjamin Sesko Fit In At Arsenal?
The Gunners could be getting a highly promising forward in Sesko if they’re able to sign him in the summer.
The Gunners had struggles with finding a consistent goalscorer in their 2024/25 Premier League campaign, with Kai Havertz being their highest scorer in the league with just nine goals throughout the campaign.
On the other hand, Sesko scored 12 goals in the 2024/25 Bundesliga season for RB Leipzig in only 33 games, providing five assists in the competition as well.
The Slovenian forward could bring even more speed for Arsenal on counter-attacks, as he’s a rapid player who recorded a top speed of 35.69 Kn/H in the Bundesliga, as well as making 875 sprints in 33 league games.
Not just that, but the 21-year-old forward also averaged 1.68 successful forward carries, which proves that he can get the ball forward quickly.
He’s also an ambitious and hungry figure up front, who averaged 2.54 shot attempts per 90 minutes in the previous Bundesliga campaign and tormented defenders with his movement.
Sesko has earned praise from his teammates, with RB Leipzig hailing him as the best striker he’s played with.
He had said earlier in the 2024/25 season: “As a striker, he’s the best I’ve played with. If you look at his abilities, he has everything a top No. 9 needs.”
“He’s still young, he still needs to learn, not the technical things about being a striker but maybe more the finesse side. He has everything, strength shooting, technique, everything.”
It now remains to be seen if Arsenal are ready to break the bank to sign the talented young forward, or if they go for someone else.
