As we approach Fantasy Football Matchweek 34 of the Premier League, scheduled from Friday, April 24, to Monday, April 27, it’s essential for FPL managers to strategise effectively to maximise their points.
Here are some FPL tips to assist you in making informed decisions for your Blank Gameweek squad.
Fantasy Football Matchweek 34 Fixtures
The Fantasy Football deadline for Blank Gameweek 34 is Friday, April 24, 18:30 GMT.
Friday, April 24
- Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest (20:00 GMT)
Saturday, April 25
- Fulham vs Aston Villa (12:30 GMT)
- Liverpool vs Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)
- West Ham vs Everton (15:00 GMT)
- Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Tottenham Hotspur (15:00 GMT)
- Arsenal vs Newcastle United (17:30 GMT)
Monday, April 27
- Manchester United vs Brentford (20:00 GMT)
Injury and Suspension Updates to Note
Bryan Mbeumo has sustained a knock, and may be unavailable for selection when Manchester United host Brentford.
Anthony Gordon missed Newcastle’s game against Bournemouth, and will be unavailable until the start of May due to a hip injury.
Best Chips for Double Gameweek 33
It’s a Blank Gameweek, with every team from last weekend’s Double Gameweek not featuring in the league for GW34.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Leeds will still play this weekend – just not in the Premier League, but in the FA Cup semi-finals instead.
If you used the Wild Card chip in Gameweek 32, and then the Bench Boost in Double Gameweek 33, you can then use the Free Hit chip, if it’s still available to you, in Gameweek 34, which changes your team for one Gameweek only – you can remove only the players without a Gameweek 34 fixture.
Must-Have FPL Picks
Casemiro (£5.7m) and Bruno Fernandes (£10.3m) are Manchester United’s best picks at the moment. If Benjamin Sesko (£7.3m) doesn’t start and instead comes on as a substitute, he is another good investment from Michael Carrick’s side.
West Ham might still get relegated, but their form has improved in 2026, and their players like Konstantinos Mavropanos (£4.5m) are also in good form, and are affordable.
Arsenal vs Newcastle is a tough game to call, with both clubs in shaky form, but capable of strong results on a good day. Play it safe and stay away from defenders. Newcastle forward William Osula (£5.4m) is in good form, while Arsenal’s Kai Havertz (£7.3m) looks hungry for some goals.
Nottingham Forest, like West Ham, are finding 2026 better than the earlier part of the 2025/26 season. Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.5m) bagged 20 points against Burnley last weekend, and while Sunderland will be a tougher opponent, the England international is capable of maintaining his form.
Other Fantasy Football Matchweek 32 must-haves include Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins (£8.7m), Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£5.1m) and goalkeeper Karl Darlow (£3.9m).
