The France World Cup 2026 form is quite ominous for other teams at the moment, as Les Bleus possess probably the strongest team in the tournament on paper, and they have done justice to their reputation in the group stage.

France have won all of their matches in the group stages, scoring 10 goals and conceding only two in the process.

Only Germany have scored as many goals in the tournament so far among the other nations, but their tally has been inflated by the seven goals against lowly Curacao.

The France World Cup 2026 form has justified their label as one of the favourites to win the World Cup title; however, their path to the final might not be an ideal one.

France World Cup 2026 Form: The Tough Task In The Round Of 16

Should both France and Germany win their Round of 32 matches against Sweden and Paraguay, respectively, they will clash in the Round of 16.

The two nations, who have six World Cups between them, clashed in the 2014 World Cup, as Germany won that clash 1-0 in the knockout stages.

A repeat of that match might test the France World Cup 2026 form seriously.

With that being said, Germany’s defence has shown signs of weakness, as seen in their loss to Ecuador in the final group game.

The Germans are always a formidable proposition in major tournaments, having reached eight World Cup finals, the most by any nation.

However, before worrying about Germany, France will have to beat Sweden in their Round of 32 first. The Swedes lost tamely to the Netherlands in the group stages and have a suspect defence.

Hence, preventing the French attack from scoring goals will be very difficult for them. However, Sweden could still prove to be tricky opposition with Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres upfront.

France World Cup 2026: Les Bleus’ Fantastic Frontline

The French attack of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Michael Olise is undoubtedly the strongest in the competition.

That front four is terrifying, and you cannot forget players like Rayan Cherki and Bradley Barcola warming the bench.

It will be an uphill task for any defence to stop the flow of French attacks. The likes of Dembele, Mbappe and Doue can interchange positions at will to make the job of opposition defenders really tough.

Both Mbappe and Dembele have four goals in the World Cup already, and the opposition defenders can only hope that their form dips in the upcoming matches.

It is unlikely to happen, though, with Dembele being a genuine contender to win his second consecutive Ballon d’Or and Mbappe being a monster of a player for France in World Cups.

As of now, the France World Cup 2026 form is too good for the other teams in the competition.

The fact that they can replace most of their attackers suitably with players on their bench makes the proposition even scarier.

However, the French defence is not as strong as their attack and has conceded goals against both Senegal and a second-string Norway, which will be a matter of concern for them.

Didier Deschamps, the French manager, is one of the most successful national team managers of all time. This World Cup might be his swansong as a manager, and he will want to end on a high. It now remains to be seen whether the France World Cup 2026 campaign ends in them winning their third World Cup title.
